A LITTLE ABOUT US
We are Anna and Alessandro, and we have chosen to open the doors of our home to share this special corner of Tuscany with you.
You will also be welcomed by Oro, our sweet Hungarian Vizsla, a discreet and affectionate presence who is part of our family.
Il Tiglio d’Oro is not an impersonal accommodation: it is our home. We love making every guest feel welcome, while fully respecting your privacy and tranquility.
We are also an LGBTQ+ friendly place, where every guest is welcome.
Due to Oro’s presence, we accept only female dogs, upon prior agreement.
Anna, a naturopath, runs an organic products shop in Pontedera called Amor Bio. She is passionate about cooking, gardening, and interior design.
Alessandro, after many years as a footwear designer, now dedicates himself full-time to Il Tiglio d’Oro and gardening. He loves music and reading, and will be happy to share his musical selections with you.

The house features two double rooms, tastefully and simply furnished, in harmony with the surrounding environment.
Each room is designed to offer a warm and relaxing atmosphere, views over the surrounding countryside, and complete silence for a deep and restful sleep.
The absence of a TV is a deliberate choice: this is a place to reconnect, talk, read, and listen to the silence.

About a 15-minute drive away, in the town of Pontedera, you can visit the Piaggio Museum, renowned for the production of the iconic Vespa scooter.

The surrounding hills are famous for the production of wine and extra virgin olive oil, with the opportunity to enjoy tastings directly at local wineries.
The area also has a strong organic focus, with visits available to local farms.
In October, for those interested, it is possible to take part in the harvesting and pressing of our own olives—an authentic experience deeply rooted in tradition.
